Environmental Allergies

Tips for managing environmental allergies

  • If you have an allergy to dust mite, adopt a weekly cleaning routine (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming carpet, washing sheets, etc.)

  • If you have seasonal allergies, watch pollen/mould levels on "the Weather Network". During high pollen counts, keep windows/doors closed and shower/change your clothes after spending a significant amount of time outdoors

  • If you have an allergy to your pet, you MUST keep them out of your bedroom (or get rid of them altogether!)

  • Take your allergy medications as prescribed by your physician

  • If your symptoms worsen, speak to your allergist about other ways to manage your allergies

  • Facebook
